We invite you to nominate projects for inclusion in Sunshine Coast Open House 2026, taking place on the weekend of 24–25 October. We welcome Expressions of Interest from a broad range of projects: well-designed homes, buildings, gardens, landscapes and spaces, both public and private, that offer something meaningful to the community. Open House is about celebrating good design at every scale and budget, and sharing those stories with a wider audience.

This year’s theme, Sustainable Inclusive Design, celebrates the transformative role of architecture and design in shaping a more equitable, accessible and environmentally responsible future. Submissions that reflect innovation, compassion and a commitment to meaningful social impact will be showcased.

We are particularly interested in projects that explore:

  • Creating spaces that prioritise accessibility and celebrate diversity
  • Bridging architecture and social impact to redefine accessible housing, affordable housing and housing choice for all
  • Advocacy for environmental and social justice, demonstrating a clear commitment to making a positive difference for individuals, communities and the broader environment

Saturday's program will focus on the south of the region, and Sunday on the north.
