Built in 1924 by architect Walter Carey Voller, the heritage-listed Landsborough Shire Council Chambers has undergone significant internal work to restore and reveal its history. Guides Hayden Roberts and Alex Gray take visitors through the building and its restoration, from the refreshed 1960s colour scheme to a look inside the old safe.

After the museum, visitors can walk the streets of Landsborough, reading the heritage signs and using the app to hear the stories of the township, formerly Mellum Creek, including how the old hotel was moved on skids by bullock team to its current site with the bar still open and not a bottle broken.

Guided tours every 30 minutes - they last approximately 20 minutes.
