Local Landscape Architect Sarah Chalkley will discuss the importance of design and landscape for the future of the Sunshine Coast region. Her talk will touch on the design elements that keep the Sunshine Coast special and the importance of maintaining local character and a sense of place. Sarah will draw on some of the buildings and gardens that are showcased in the Sunshine Coast Open House program.
Sarah Chalkley is a landscape architect, urban designer, design facilitator and author with a passion for advocating for landscape dominated development. She is co-author of the Sunshine Coast Design book and leads of team of architects, urban designers and landscape architects to help design, protect and enhance the natural beauty, commnuity spaces, buidlings and character of the Sunshine Coast region.
