Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Fundraising Night at the Majestic Theatre. We had a full house for an evening of speeches, live organ music and a screening of Buster Keaton’s One Week – a 1920 classic about building a flat-pack house.

Guests enjoyed guided tours of the Green Room, exploring the theatre’s history and the many famous names who have performed there. The evening ran well past its scheduled finish, with many choosing to stay in a warm room, full of laughter.

Speakers included Alison Hadfield from The Majestic; Ron Scott and Magdy Youssef from Sunshine Coast Open House, who spoke about art, architecture and this year’s upcoming program; and Trevor Purvis from Noosa Open Studios, who reflected on the value of both events running in parallel.

The night raised $2,000 through ticket sales and the raffle, with all proceeds going directly towards this year’s Sunshine Coast Open House program.
